WEST PALM BEACH, FL, March 30, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, in partnership with the Palm Beach County Business Development Board and the School District of Palm Beach County, recently recognized United Franchise Group™ (UFG) CEO Ray Titus with the “Outstanding Leadership Award” during its Distinguished Alumni and Leadership Awards. This annual program showcases the importance of investing in today’s students as tomorrow’s leaders.

“I have lived in Palm Beach County for more than 35 years and believe it is important to give back to the community in which I live and work,” said Ray Titus, CEO of United Franchise Group. “No matter what you do in life, education is the most important investment a person can make. For me, I am inspired whenever I teach the next generation about franchising and see them open their own business.”

Titus was recognized for his contributions to small business owners in franchising, but also for what he’s done for education by going “above and beyond” and being a mentor in the community.

“Ray’s well-deserved award goes to show that hard work, passion, and a “never give up” attitude really goes a long way,” said James Gavrilos, President and CEO of Education Foundation of Palm Beach County. “Ray has put his time, heart, and soul into his work and family, and his perseverance has paid off. United Franchise Group’s generous investment in our teachers, students, and schools is a win-win for the business community and the future talent growing right here in Palm Beach County and we are extremely grateful.”

Founded in 1984, the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County is dedicated to advancing excellence in Palm Beach County’s public education by increasing public awareness and inspiring community and business support for programs focused on learning, literacy, and leadership. The Education Foundation serves as a conduit for private sector investment and community involvement by creating partnerships between businesses and donors that affect students in the classroom and strengthen cooperation between the private sector and our public schools.

Committed to educating the next generation about franchising, Ray Titus and his family established the Titus Center for Franchising at Palm Beach Atlantic University, the first program in the U.S. to offer a dedicated curriculum based on the principles of franchising a business.
